Eliminating Racism and Empowering Women 2018

YWCA Greater Austin

YWCA is on a mission in 2018! We exist to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families and strengthen communities.

Every dollar you donate to the YWCA Greater Austin is used to empower women, their children and their families and to transform the Greater Austin Community. Whether through counseling, classes that develop middle and high school girls social, emotional, intellectual and physical health, trainings that help address the root causes of gender inequity and racial injustice, and/or advocacy, the YWCA Greater Austin is a catalyst for personal and systemic change.

As a BSW Intern at YWCA, I get to participate in the mission through case management, facilitation of groups, Spanish consultation, the Bridge Program, and many more amazing things. This work is important to me because I believe in community, connection, empowerment, and access to mental health services for everyone.

The work we do is important. It is something I believe in and support, and I ask that you please do the same. Join us by making a contribution that is meaningful for you. A donation of:

$10 allows 1 individual to participate in 1 psychoeducational or group therapy session.
$25 allows 1 woman, child, or family to participate in 1 counseling session.
$30 affords a family 2 hours of childcare to get ready for and go to a job interview.
$75 allows at least 10 people to participate in a 1-hour training.
$100 allows 10 individuals the opportunity to participate in group therapy.
$150 allows 1 teen to participate in 10 life skills classes.
$250 allows 1 woman, child, or family access to 10 counseling sessions.
