Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services (PCHAS), is a children's social service agency that has provided Christ-centered care to children and families in need since 1903. Our programs break the cycles of abuse and other behaviors that cause families to fall apart and harm children. We nurture both children and adults by being family-centered, strength focused, and goal driven.
Child & Family (in-home family preservation)
Impact StatementThe best way to help children is to strengthen the families around them. We view and connect with children in the context of their family because we believe this is the best way to promote change. We help families and adults increase their self-sufficiency, and we help children have a lifelong plan (permanency).
Needs StatementWe invite you to assist the children and families in our care with needs and services throughout the year. Your gift will provide necessary items and additional services for our children such as:
$10 - Hygiene items or new socks/underwear
$25 - Groceries or school supplies
$50 - New bedding for a foster child
$100 - One week of after school care for a child
$250 - One week of day care for a child
$500 - Books for one semester for a transitional living client (a youth aged out of foster care)
$1,000 - One year of counseling services
