Amplify Austin makes it possible for anyone to make a donation to his or her favorite cause or to create a fundraising page at any time-whether it's for a special event or a specific project. Amplify Austin Day is our city's annual community-wide day of online giving. The 24-hour period provides an easy and fun way for our entire community to give together while helping local nonprofits. Over the past four years, Amplify Austin has raised over $24.7M for hundreds of local organizations. In 2016, 40 percent of the 61,625 Amplify Austin Day donations were first time gifts to nonprofit organizations. Together we raised $8.5M for over 600 Central Texas nonprofits.

The date for Amplify Austin Day 2017 is March 2nd - March 3rd. The 24 hours begin at 6pm on March 2nd and end 24 hours later at 6pm on March 3rd.
More than 600 nonprofits headquartered and serving in Travis and surrounding counties are represented and have the following documentation: 501c3 public charity; Comply with IRS 990 requirements; Registered with the Texas Secretary of State and Active status with TX Comptroller; Provided audited financials for the previous year's operations or a letter documenting fiscal responsibility if their revenues are under $50,000. As always, we encourage you to do your own due diligence as you consider your charitable giving.
Nonprofits will have the opportunity to win grand prizes and hourly prizes. On Amplify Austin Day, every organization receives stretch fund dollars based on total of stretch fund and dollars raised by the nonprofit. Nonprofits also have opportunities to multiply funds raised through matching gifts and prize money. These funds are not subject to transaction fees, and allow organizations to raise awareness and engage new donor support.
The suggested minimum donation on Amplify Austin Day is $25. However, our new platform is designed to allow gifts of $10 and above. We strongly recommend keeping your donation at $25 and above. This will not only maximize your impact, but it will also help your favorite nonprofit achieve their ambitious goals!
Yes! You can load up a cart of different nonprofits you want to give to. When you're ready, you can make one payment. Only the registered Central Texas nonprofits may receive gifts through AmplifyATX.org.
Yes! Our technology provider has a "mobile optimized platform" that will make it easy to make a gift on www.AmplifyATX.org using your smart phone.
Yes! The recurring donation feature allows donors to make automated, online donations to a nonprofit on a regular schedule. You can set this up during your payment process. We're also offer an option of scheduling your Amplify Austin Day donation ahead of time! However, only the donation amount scheduled for Amplify Austin Day will qualify for a boost from the incentive fund and counted toward nonprofit prizes.
Yes! Our website is powered by CiviCore and is a secure PCI-compliant site for donating to your favorite charities. You can be sure your personal information is protected when you donate. The number one way we protect consumer data is by not actually touching your credit card information. Our website security is intentionally separated from the security of your sensitive information. You will receive an immediate thank you and tax receipt for 100% of your donation(s), which you should print out for your records. By selecting a specific charity to receive your donation, your donation is restricted for that charity and will not be given to any other charity. Your donation will be in the hands of your nonprofits within 4 weeks.
I Live Here, I Give Here works hard to ensure that Amplify Austin is a cost-effective and successful fundraising campaign. Transactions incur a credit card processing fee of 3%. Donors have the option to cover credit card fees. Transactions made on Amplify Austin Day and scheduled for Amplify Austin Day also incur a service charge of 3-5%. The final service charge is dependent on total donations raised. In 2016, the service charge was 3.15% per transaction. The service charge subsidizes the cost of Amplify Austin Day including training and support, administration, financial services, platform, technology, marketing, and PR. Transactions made outside of Amplify Austin Day incur a credit card processing fee of 3% and service charge of 2%.
You will receive an immediate thank you and tax receipt for 100% of your donation(s). Your chosen nonprofits will thank you as well. You can choose to make an anonymous donation if you prefer. Anonymous donors will receive a tax receipt, but will not receive a thank you from the nonprofit organization they contributed to.
