In an effort to expand services, Austin Family Institute has started a two year developmental plan to open an East Austin location. We are excited about this new direction to continue to promote our mission and provide access to affordable mental health services in the Austin area.

We serve individuals, couples and families of diverse backgrounds from ages five through senior adults. Our therapists are qualified to address the following, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, behavioral issues, and harm to self and/or others.

We aim to increase access to mental health care for those who would otherwise be unable to afford it and provide direct services to clients. In doing so, we hope to do our part to raise mental health awareness and strengthen all relationships contributing to a healthy Austin community.

"I went to AFI for help, first when I was going through a divorce, again when I was experiencing harassment at work, and finally, when I was going through the transition of becoming a parent. Each time, I got the practical help and emotional support I needed."

"I will be forever grateful for the sliding scale option, which gave me the life-changing opportunity to be in therapy when I couldn't have afforded it otherwise."

"I would highly recommend AFI to others because I always felt supported, positively challenged, and never judged."

"I felt validated and supported. I was also liberated from many of the difficult emotions that were making my day-to-day experience so challenging."
