Since entering our capital city of Austin in the Fall of 2016, Amaanah has grown from operating in only 2 AISD campuses to now 5. Our trained, paid instructors currently work with over 120 children in AISD, Mondays through Fridays.

From 6 p.m. on March 1 to 6 p.m. on March 2 you have the opportunity to contribute to Amaanah's Awesome Academy school programs. However, you don't have to wait for March 1 - you can schedule your contribution today!

With your help, we can impact even more students and develop even better programs in 2018.

Impact Statement

Our services currently include:

In-school tutoring to support teachers and newcomers in AISD elementary and middle school classrooms
After school programming to promote academic and social development
Field trips to facilitate applied learning and acculturation
Athletics to build self confidence and encourage healthy living
Parent engagement to promote academic excellence
Events to create community among volunteers and our refugee clients

In our first year working in Austin, our team spent over 1,000 hours working with refugee students. We are excited to see our Awesome Academy grow in new and exciting ways with your support!

Needs Statement

Resettled students are learning across all of AISD! While Amaanah is currently serving in 5 campuses, there are refugee students in over 85 AISD schools. Your donation will help us expand to meet the needs of more refugees and more campuses, while also further developing the resources of our Awesome Academy school program.

A donation as small as $10 contribution can go a long way. Join us in making an impact in Austin.
"As a member of the Amaanah team, I am given the opportunity to make a direct and lifelong impact on these children's lives." - Ehsan Saffari, 2018 Program Tutor.

"I don't know exactly what is going on in these kids lives, but to be able to be here for them, to see them happy to see us tutors and greet us with hugs, that's my favorite part, and that is why Amaanah has been so fulfilling for me." - Nadia Oviedo, 2018 Program Tutor.

"Watching them grow academically and socially is such a rewarding feeling...It feels amazing to know that someday these kids will grow to become leaders, making an impact on the world." - Veronica Salas, 2018 Program Tutor.
