What is Amplify?
Amplify Austin strives to meet the needs of our community by providing an easy-to-use digital marketplace that connects local donors with Austin area nonprofits all year long. We inspire the people of Austin and their neighbors to make a difference in their community by connecting them with the causes they're passionate about on one easy-to-use platform where they can donate to charities in their neighborhood. Amplify Austin makes it possible for anyone to make a donation to his or her favorite cause or to create a fundraising page at any time-whether it's for a special event or a specific project. The site is also a starting point to giving for newcomers or new companies to the area. Central Texans can visit AmplifyATX.Org 365 days a year to give local.
Amplify Austin Day is our city's annual community-wide day of online giving. The 24-hour period provides an easy and fun way for our entire community to give together while helping local nonprofits. Together we raised $9.8M for nearly 700 Central Texas nonprofits on Amplify Austin Day in 2017. Over the past five years, Amplify Austin has raised $35M for hundreds of local organizations.

Amplify Austin Day is a 24-hour online giving day that takes place at www.AmplifyATX.org.
Of course we encourage year-round giving, but we make a special appeal on Amplify Austin Day. This is the day to celebrate and support nonprofits in Central Texas that make this a better place for everyone to live. PLUS, your gift made on Amplify Austin Day will be amplified by incentive matching dollars from our generous sponsors. Your gift may also help your favorite nonprofit win one of the four the grand prizes or hourly Bass Booster prizes during the 24-hour period.
The date for Amplify Austin Day 2018 is 6PM March 1 through 6PM March 2.
Nearly 700 nonprofits headquartered and serving in Travis and surrounding counties are represented and have the following documentation: 501c3 public charity; Comply with IRS 990 requirements; Registered with the Texas Secretary of State and Active status with TX Comptroller; Provided audited financials for the previous year's operations or a letter documenting fiscal responsibility if their revenues are under $50,000. As always, we encourage you to do your own due diligence as you consider your charitable giving.
Nonprofits will have the opportunity to win grand prizes and hourly prizes. On Amplify Austin Day, every organization receives stretch fund dollars based on total of stretch fund and dollars raised by the nonprofit. Nonprofits also have opportunities to multiply funds raised through matching gifts and prize money. These funds are not subject to transaction fees, and allow organizations to raise awareness and engage new donor support.
The suggested minimum donation on Amplify Austin Day is $25. However, our new platform is designed to allow gifts of $10 and above. We strongly recommend keeping your donation at $25 and above. This will not only maximize your impact, but it will also help your favorite nonprofit achieve their ambitious goals!
Yes! You can load up a cart of different nonprofits you want to give to. When you're ready, you can make one payment. Only the registered Central Texas nonprofits may receive gifts through AmplifyATX.org.
Yes! Our technology provider has a "mobile optimized platform" that will make it easy to make a gift on www.AmplifyATX.org using your smart phone.
Yes! The recurring donation feature allows donors to make automated, online donations to a nonprofit on a regular schedule. You can set this up during your payment process. We also offer an option of scheduling your Amplify Austin Day donation ahead of time! However, only the donation amount scheduled for Amplify Austin Day will qualify for a boost from the incentive fund and counted toward nonprofit prizes.
Yes! Our website is powered by CiviCore and is a secure PCI-compliant site for donating to your favorite charities. You can be sure your personal information is protected when you donate. The number one way we protect consumer data is by not actually touching your credit card information. Our website security is intentionally separated from the security of your sensitive information. Our credit card processor is Stripe and they are PCI Compliant Level One, the highest level required of any processor handling over 6 million visa transactions per year. You will receive an immediate thank you and tax receipt for 100% of your donation(s), which you should print out for your records. By selecting a specific charity to receive your donation, your donation is restricted for that charity and will not be given to any other charity. Your donation will be in the hands of your nonprofits within 4 weeks.
I Live Here I Give Here works hard to ensure that AmplifyATX.Org is a cost-effective and successful fundraising platform.
Amplify Austin Day transactions incur a variable service charge of 4-8%, which includes credit card processing fees (approx. 3%). For Amplify Austin Day 2017 the service charge, inclusive of credit card processing fees was approx. 4% -- 96% of your donation went to the nonprofit.
This small service charge subsidizes I Live Here I Give Here's cost of AmplifyATX.Org including credit card processing fees, trainings and support, administration, financial services, insurance, online infrastructure, marketing, and PR. I Live Here I Give Here is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Donors have the option to help with 3% of credit card processing fees year-round, and the option to contribute to a general incentive fund on Amplify Austin Day that is distributed pro-rata to all organizations.
Transactions made on AmplifyATX.org outside of Amplify Austin Day incur a service charge of 5%, inclusive of credit card processing fees.
The final service charge depends on total donations raised on Amplify Day and the total raised in the general incentive fund. The fund is distributed on a pro-rata basis to all nonprofits, helping to mitigate the service charge.
Credit card processing fees are incurred any time a donation or transaction using a credit card takes place. These processing fees are paid directly to credit card companies through our credit card processor Stripe.
You will receive an immediate thank you and tax receipt for 100% of your donation(s). Your chosen nonprofits will thank you as well. You can choose to make an anonymous donation if you prefer. Anonymous donors will receive a tax receipt, but will not receive a thank you from the nonprofit organization they contributed to.

Of course! We're excited to offer you that opportunity. Individuals and businesses can be fundraisers. You pick your own fundraising goal for a chosen nonprofit and accept donations on your fundraising page on www.AmplifyATX.org. All fundraisers must register and complete an online fundraising page. We encourage you to find organizations that align with your passions and values. While I Live Here, I Give Here does verify the charitable status of every nonprofit that participates in Amplify Austin Day, ILHIGH does not screen or select organizations on the basis of their charitable purposes or their missions. Eligibility is based on providing services in our area and an organization's current status as a recognized Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. Therefore, approval of an organization's participation does not constitute an endorsement of the organization or its mission by I Live Here, I Give Here or any of our partners.
