The site of our current Republic of Texas Museum at the intersection of IH-35 and SH 183 in Austin will soon be under highway construction, therefore DRT must move very soon. We have the perfect location already purchased on historic Robertson Hill in East Austin, next to the French Legation Museum.

Our Chapters across Texas have raised over half of what we need to construct our new home, The Republic of Texas History Center. Now, we need your help to raise the remaining funds so that construction can begin as soon as possible on the new home of our Museum treasures.

Impact Statement

Our beautiful new Republic of Texas History Center will allow DRT to better serve the State of Texas and visitors seeking to learn about the fascinating historical legacy of the Lone Star State. Our new facility will provide a perfect setting for the Republic of Texas Museum, Exhibitions, Research, Conferences, Meeting space for community groups, State-of-the-art genealogical research facility, and DRT headquarters.

Needs Statement

The William Barret Travis Chapter #3 invites you to join us in being a part of Austin and Texas history by helping our Chapter raise $30,000 towards the construction of our new Republic of Texas Museum and Headquarters.

Your generous gift will help our Chapter build that new home for the Republic of Texas Museum and Headquarters thus providing a great future for the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
