Access to the Arts

VSA Texas

VSA Texas is working to create a society where Texans with disabilities can excel in, learn through, and enjoy the arts. As a result of raising awareness in communities about the importance of inclusion, VSA Texas has directly served over 50,000 children and adults with disabilities in every major region of the state. VSA's programming is designed to cultivate people with disabilities as consumers and creators by delivering significant cultural arts services to Texas residents. The organization is an educational program of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Recognized nationally for its excellent and groundbreaking programming, VSA Texas uses a collaborative model to deliver its programs and has extensive partnerships with community based arts and disability organizations across Texas. On the local level, in areas like Austin, Houston, Dallas, El Paso, Lubbock and Corpus Christi, we offer a variety of classes. VSA offers a sliding scale fee structure and provides a limited number of scholarships to low income individuals to participate in our classes and workshops. Join me in supporting our groundbreaking programming by scheduling a generous donation today for March 1, our Day of Giving. Thanks for your support!
