The International Dyslexia Association's mission is to create a future for all individuals who struggle with dyslexia and other related reading differences so that they may have richer, more robust lives and access to the tools and resources they need.
IDA Austin is excited about the launch of their new Social media campaign (Website, FB page, & Twitter) and growing membership of volunteer and board members. The man power and social media will help get word of our organization out to the public in our vast area so that we can help families, individuals, and educators learn more and advocate about dyslexia and related disorders. IDA Austin accomplishes this through outreach events for families and educators, a 24 hour helpline, workshops, dyslexia simulations for school districts and teacher training.
Impact StatementIDA Austin hopes to educate, advocate and celebrate the nearly 20% of folks with dyslexia! We won't stop educating the public which includes parents, educators, and individuals about the indicators and successful treatment for dyslexia until everyone can read.
