The Adamo Group has seen tremendous success in our early days. In January 2016, we embarked on our first initiative - establish a consistent revenue stream through Adamo Nail Bar, a traveling (airstream) nail boutique in Austin, Texas. To fund this endeavor, we launched a Kickstarter with the goal to raise $15,000 to cover trailer renovations - we exceeded this goal, bringing in $19,000. Adamo Nail Bar was launched in October 2016 and has proven to be highly-effective in generating awareness and income for our cause. After covering our operating expenses, all remaining profit is funneled back into The Adamo Group to fund Adamo Nail Lab and other efforts to flight trafficking. In the Fall of 2017 with the help of the "Neighborhood Assist" State Farm grant The Adamo Group was able to open Adamo Nail Lab, Texas' first trade school for survivors of sex trafficking. Through this program we have began the final step to true freedom in the lives of these survivors by equipping them with a mentor, a trade that provides them sustainability, and connections to local salon and spas eager to employee them!

Impact Statement

The Adamo Group is committed to training survivors into a trade that will support them financially and allow them to build the life-skills and confidence needed to thrive and sustain lifelong freedom. It is our belief that through our program we are able to provide a very crucial element needed to achieve full restoration of these individuals into society. We intend for those who complete the full six-month program to thrive and become leaders in our community.

Needs Statement

We have brought on board the educator with the most knowledge, experience, and commitment in our region. We have spared no expense in providing these women with the best education and equipment and through their (new found) passion for nails we have developed a product line, TRŪ, in our nail lab that can help us cover the cost to operate the lab. We need financial support to develop and produce more product in order to begin to sell it through ecommerce and spread our mission nationally & globally. Adamo is committed to developing sustainable income business models that provide our organization stability, in hopes that we can become an organization that can proudly say "100% of donations to The Adamo Group go directly to the education of survivors of sex trafficking and women who have been exploited by the commercial sex industry" In our start up stage we need the support of our community to get these projects off of the ground without incurring debt.
Google Fiber has offered a $10,000 matching grant to be distributed among all participating education organizations on Amplify Austin Day. These nonprofit organizations will receive funds on a pro-rata basis. Each nonprofit will receive matching funds based on their total funds raised on Amplify Austin Day.
We believe it takes a village to make the Adamo vision a reality. We have volunteer opportunities that range from "day of" executors for our outreach commitments & events to long term team positions that commit to monthly meetings and team building for planning and preparing our outreaches & fundraising events. We need your talent and we appreciate any muscle you are willing to lend to our mission!
